server upgrades -- bad dreams
Long story short: Last week, we initiated a simple upgrade for my server, bumping the RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB. Ugliness. The server was up-again/down-again for three days. Services were going belly-up. One minute I'd have mail, the next minute I wouldn't. It was ugly. Turned out that one of the memory sticks was bad.... FINALLY, last night they did another upgrade, and everything looks good so far.
What a mess. It appears to be done, now. So, OpenDiscipleship.org as well as the rest of the sites on my server should be running faster now. that's a good thing!

Could you imagine the mess we would have if one of our nuclear enemies would detonate a nuke in our atmosphere and fry all our electronics? You thought your RAM was a problem.
