On offending others

A friend of mine has brought it to my attention that the block on the right side of the page, "Who's to Blame?," might be offensive to anyone associated with the organizations and institutions named. My first response is, of course, defensive. After all, I created that block, I wrote it, I crafted it! Dan and I have consciously listed those influences who have had the biggest influences (both joyous and painful) for God's work in our lives.... Apparently, I'm not funny.

So, I'm asking, "do I need to re-craft that block?"

Dan and I will not deny that we have suffered pain and been ministered to in great joy by each of these institutions (the song writers are exempted, mostly). We do feel that all of those organizations should be recognized for what God has done in our lives -- to bring us to where we are, to make us into what we are -- through them. It also serves to give the reader and listener a little background on where we came from, what our fundamental theological training would have been like, a glimpse into our early, world view shaping moments.

As always, I treasure your feedback. Let me know what you think.

I think you are funny; well

I think you are funny; well most of the time. maybe someone was upset that their name was not listed?
