Don't teach them to debate! [+]

It seems that there is a lot of interest in Christian education about teaching kids and adults how to debate for their faith. I probably agreed with this one day in my past, but I've come to the conclusion that this is a very, very, very bad idea.

Theology Rocks - truths to stand on

Our neighbors need to hear the Good News about what Jesus has done for us, just as every generation before them did. Unfortunately, it seems that we're not doing a very good job of telling them about the Good News. Part of the problem is that we're still acting like we live in a predominantly Christian culture. In reality, that culture is gone. Most of the problem is that we just don't bother telling them the Good News at all.
